USA DMT Humbucking Pickups

Incorporating two USA made DMT pickups the Michael Amott Tyrant provides a high output tone with glistening harmonics and plenty of power. With a signature DMT Michael Amott Tyrant humbucker in the bridge position the Tyrant excels when used with a high gain tone to deliver thick and deep rhythm sounds due to the large hex pole pieces and alnico 5 magnet. Additionally the DMT Time Capsule neck pickup delivers a vintage style tone with a distinct warm sound perfect for smooth lead runs. Featuring a ceramic magnet with four cable conductor the Time Capsule is perfect for lead playing and thick clean tones.

String-Thru Body

The Dean Michael Amott Tyrant incorporates a string-thru body construction to provide improved tonality and sustain by transferring vibrations and resonance from the string to the body as it goes over the tune-o-matic bridge and passes through the body.

About Michael Amott

Born in 1969 Michael Amott is a Swedish guitarists and songwriter for the bands such as Arch Enemy, Spiritual Beggars and Carnage. Having played from a young age Michael has never had any instructional tuition and has developed his own unique playing style which orientates around Pentatonic and Aeolian scales. In 2008 Michael received an endorsement from Dean Guitars and has since released a range of signature models which deliver a smooth playability and high output tone required for his studio and live performance.
